    Some take for granted daily activities like walking, combing hair, dining, and don= t realize how important these functions are until something disabling happens. If the worst does happen, you need the best therapy you can get, and you need it now! Braemoor= s Rehabilitation Department is known for getting results and helping individuals recover some of the quality of life so quickly lost.

The sooner a patient can enter a rehabilitation program, the more successful the recovery will be. Braemoor admits patients, with a physician= s order, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Rehab Department is open Monday through Saturday, (Sunday if needed). Admissions to the inpatient program are handled through the Facility= s Admitting Office and may be accomplished from the hospital inpatient, emergency room, physician= s office, or the home setting

Our Rehabilitation Services, include on-site Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy, and provide for a wide range of needs with the goal of helping to return the patient to his highest level of functioning.

Services are provided in a dedicated 7000sq ft Rehabilitation Wing consisting of five treatment rooms with state of the art equipment.

Programs include:

*Amputee Rehabilitation,

*Rehabilitation for Upper and Lower Extremity

*Stroke Rehabilitation,

*Communication and Voice Rehabilitation

*Pain Management

*Ultra-Sound/Electric Stimulation

Braemoor= s dedicated staff encourage the patient, taking time throughout the difficult rehabilitation process, to explain the diagnosis and the different forms of treatment available to help optimize recovery. Care Plans are patient driven and are reviewed daily at team meeting with other disciplines, to ensure the Plan progresses with the patient. For those admitted with the goal for home discharge, the care plan includes patient and family teaching to ensure the

patient and care giver are comfortable with the Plan in order to provide the highest level of function at home.

Braemoor is one of the few skilled care facilities in Massachusetts licensed to provide Outpatient Services. You can feel comfortable knowing that following your inpatient stay, you may return to Braemoor as an outpatient with the same therapy team to continue your recovery program.

If you are planning hip or knee surgery, our Orthopedic Pre-Operative program is designed to help you understand what your rehabilitation process will include. Our staff will meet with you prior to your hospitalization, tour you through our inpatient program, introduce you to the nursing and rehabilitation team and answer questions on your insurance coverage or your recovery process.
